Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

This policy explains what EuroSwingFy collects, why, who it is shared with, and what you can demand from us. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

The short version. Using this Service says something about your sex life, so everything here is treated as sensitive. We never sell your data. You can delete your account at any time. Two things deserve your attention before you continue: your data is stored in the United States (section 6), and the people whose profiles you visit can see that you visited (section 2).

1. Who is responsible

[LEGAL ENTITY NAME], established in [COUNTRY OF REGISTRATION], is the data controller. For anything in this policy, including requests about your rights, contact privacy@euroswingfy.com.

2. What we collect

DataWhere it comes from
Email address, nickname, passwordYou, at registration. Your password is handled by Amazon Cognito and stored hashed — we never see it.
Gender, and the genders you are interested inYou, at registration and in profile settings.
Profile content — bio, profile photo, cover photoYou. We keep the original uncropped profile photo so you can re-crop it later.
Posts, stories, photos, videos, comments, likesYou, when you publish them.
Direct messagesYou and the person you write to. Messages are stored so the conversation persists, and are readable by both participants.

Who you follow, and who follows youYour actions in the app.
Profile visits — which profiles you opened, and when you last opened eachYour actions in the app. The profile owner can see that you visited and when, on their "Views" page. This is intentional and works both ways.

Sensitive data

The genders you are interested in, and the fact that you have an account on a platform for open-minded adults, reveal information about your sex life and sexual orientation. Under Article 9 of the GDPR this is a special category of personal data and gets the strongest level of protection the law provides.

We process it only on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give by creating an account and filling in these fields, and which you can withdraw at any time by deleting your account or clearing those fields.

3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis

PurposeLegal basis (GDPR)
Creating and running your account, feed, messages and notificationsPerformance of a contract — Art. 6(1)(b)
Showing people and content near youYour consent to location access — Art. 6(1)(a)
Gender and interest data, and anything revealing your sex lifeYour explicit consent — Art. 9(2)(a)
Keeping the Service secure, preventing fraud, abuse and fake accountsOur legitimate interests — Art. 6(1)(f)
Analytics and measuring advertisingYour consent — Art. 6(1)(a). See section 7.
Complying with the law, responding to lawful requests, and reporting illegal contentLegal obligation — Art. 6(1)(c)

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your content or messages to train artificial intelligence models.

4. What other people can see

  • Public to signed-in members: your nickname, profile and cover photos, bio, gender, approximate location (city/region), posts, stories, comments, likes, follower and following lists, and whether you are currently online.
  • Visible to specific people: the profiles you visit (the owner sees it), the stories you view (the author sees it), and your messages (the recipient).
  • Never shown to other members: your email address, your password, and your exact coordinates.

Anything you publish can be screenshotted or copied by the people who can see it. We can remove content from the Service, but we cannot retrieve copies someone has already saved. Decide what to publish on that basis.

5. Who we share data with

We use these providers, who process data on our instructions:

ProviderWhat forWhere
Amazon Web Services (AWS)Hosting, authentication, database, file storage — essentially all of your dataUnited States (Ohio)
Google — AnalyticsAggregate usage statisticsUnited States
Meta — PixelMeasuring advertisingUnited States

We also disclose data where the law requires it — to respond to a valid legal request, to protect someone's safety, or to report illegal content to the competent authorities.

6. Your data is stored in the United States

Our infrastructure runs in the AWS us-east-2 region, in Ohio. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, this means your personal data — including the sensitive data described in section 2 — is transferred to and stored in the United States.

These transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. You can ask us for details of these safeguards at privacy@euroswingfy.com.

7. Cookies and tracking

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the strictly necessary ones are required to stay signed in. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on, and adjust Meta's use of your data in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.

8. How long we keep it

  • While your account is open: your profile, content and messages stay until you delete them or delete your account.
  • When you delete your account: your profile and content are removed from the Service. Copies may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being overwritten.
  • Messages: a message you sent remains visible to the person who received it, as it does in any messaging service.
  • Server logs: kept for a limited period for security and debugging.
  • Records we are legally required to keep: retained for as long as the law requires, including records relating to reports of illegal content.

9. Your rights

If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK, you have the right to: access your data; have inaccurate data corrected; have your data erased; restrict or object to how we process it; receive a copy in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time — including your consent to the sensitive data in section 2, by deleting your account.

Write to privacy@euroswingfy.com and we will respond within one month. You never need to explain why.

You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority. In [COUNTRY OF REGISTRATION] that is your lead authority, but you may also complain to the authority where you live or work.

10. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed by Amazon Cognito, and access to production data is restricted. No service can promise perfect security. If a breach affects your rights, we will notify the competent authority within 72 hours and inform you where the law requires it.

11. No one under 18

The Service is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has an account, contact privacy@euroswingfy.com and we will remove it and delete the data.

Waitlist (before launch)

If you join our launch waitlist, we collect your email address, the time you joined, the language of your browser, and where you came from (the advert, link or website that brought you here, if any). We also keep a one-way scrambled version of your IP address, which lets us spot abuse without being able to identify you from it.

  • Why: only to email you when EuroSwingFy launches. We do not use the list for anything else and do not sell or share it.
  • Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), given by ticking the box on the form. We record when you gave it. You can withdraw it at any time.
  • Unsubscribing: every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, or you can write to privacy@euroswingfy.com and we will remove you.
  • How long: until you unsubscribe, or until we have sent the launch email and you have not created an account, whichever comes first. We then delete your waitlist entry.
  • Where: stored with Amazon Web Services in the United States, as described in section 6.

Your rights described in section 9 apply to waitlist data too. Analytics on the waitlist page run only if you accept them in the prompt shown there.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and we will give reasonable notice of material changes before they take effect.
